Welcome to the Great Cockcrow Railway
Nestled in the 'green belt' of Surrey, the Great Cockcrow Railway provides a very unique experience. Open every Sunday throughout the summer months (May to October), the railway allows you to be transported back to the days of steam and the world of miniature - 7 1/4 inches to be precise.

The GCR is truly a special place for both enthusiasts and families alike. Featuring a wide range of locomotives (both steam and diesel) and a fully working signalling system,
ABOUT THE RAILWAY

Finding Us

The railway can be found not far from Chertsey in Surrey. We have very easy links to the M25 motorway, and the nearest mainline railway station is only a stone's throw away in Chertsey.

Our Routes

With an extensive track layout, we offer two different routes you can experience on your visit. Taking in different areas, you can visit our own 'Jungle' filled with many animals and travel through Greywood Tunnel.

Prices and Opening Times

The railway is open every Sunday throughout the summer (May to October) from 1 pm to 4:30 pm (subject to weather conditions), ticket office closes at 4:15 pm.

Tea Room

Our on-site Station Café sells refreshments throughout the afternoon while the Railway is open. Grab a coffee and a slice of cake while watching the trains roll by at Hardwick terminus station.
